PAMF LANZA e-PANAM CUP Y PROMETE SACUDIR EL MUNDO VIRTUAL DE MINIFOOTBALL EN LAS AMÉRICAS
La PAMF - Federación Panamericana de Minifootball lanzó esta semana la primera edición de la e-PANAM CUP. El torneo virtual de fútbol tendrá lugar del 8 al 17 de julio y asistirán más de 10 países de América. Según Rico Chermont, Presidente de PAMF, el torneo marca un nuevo paso en el desarrollo del deporte en el continente.
"La entrada de juegos virtuales en el mundo del minifootball es extremadamente importante para nuestro desarrollo. Los deportes electrónicos han crecido exponencialmente en los últimos años y no se nos puede dejar fuera.", comentó Rico.
La idea surgió después de que la EMF - Federación Europea de Minifootball celebrase la EURO de deportes electrónicos de la EMF, entre el 28 y el 31 de mayo. Hubo 64 atletas de 14 países diferentes. El gran campeón fue el rumano Daniel Constatinescu, quien venció al búlgaro Nikolay Bokov en la gran final. El podio fue completado por el ucraniano Pavlo Apenko.
La e-PANAM CUP se jugará en PLAYSTATION 4 y el juego elegido fue FIFA 20, debido a la cantidad de fanáticos en todo el mundo. Cada país tendrá un equipo de 4 jugadores, que podrán elegir su equipo en el juego. Estos atletas representarán a las organizaciones de Minifootball registradas por PAMF.
Habrá 48 a 64 atletas compitiendo por el primer título del deporte en el PAMF. El registro de los países tendrá lugar hasta el 25 de junio, cuando se definirá el número de grupos y los criterios de clasificación.
El 30 de junio habrá, en Río de Janeiro, Brasil, el sorteo de los grupos y el montaje del calendario de juegos. El 8 de julio tendrá lugar la primera ronda de la fase de grupos. El sorteo se transmitirá EN VIVO en PAMF TV, YouTube y en las redes sociales de PAMF (@minifootballamericas).
La e-PanAm Cup se llevará a cabo todos los años y servirá como una promoción para el torneo más importante de América, la PanAM Cup. La próxima edición de la PanAm Cup está programada para el 8 y 11 de octubre en Las Vegas, Estados Unidos. Sin embargo, el 29 de junio habrá una decisión sobre la realización o el aplazamiento de la edición cara a cara, debido a la pandemia de COVID-19.
El país Campeón de la Copa e-PanAm recibirá su trofeo de Campeón en la ceremonia de clausura de la Copa PanAm Las Vegas y todos los atletas ganarán medallas personalizadas. La organización del torneo también está preparando regalos para patrocinadores.
"Esperamos que los países participantes puedan desarrollar e-Minifootball en sus territorios y que cada vez más fanáticos conozcan nuestro deporte y nuestra organización", concluyó Rico.
The PAMF - PanAmerican Minifootball Federation launched this week the first edition of the e-PANAM CUP. The virtual football tournament will take place from July 8 to 17 and will be attended by more than 10 countries in the Americas.

The idea came after the EMF - European Minifootball Federation held the EMF eSports EURO between May 28-31. There were 64 athletes from 14 different countries. The great champion was the romanian player Daniel Constatinescu, who beat bulgarian player Nikolay Bokov in the grand final. The podium was completed by ukrainian player Pavlo Apenko.
The e-PANAM CUP will be played on PLAYSTATION 4 and the game chosen was FIFA 20, due to the number of fans around the world. Each country will have a team of 4 players, who will be able to choose their team in the game. These athletes will represent PAMF registered Minifootball organizations. There will be 48 to 64 athletes competing for the first title of the e-sport in the PAMF.
The registration of the countries will take place until the 25th of June, when the number of groups and classification criteria will be defined. On the 30th of June there will be, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the draw of the groups and assembly of the games calendar. On the 8th of July, the first round of the group stage will take place. The draw will be broadcast LIVE on PAMF TV, YouTube and on PAMF social networks (@minifootballamericas).
The e-PanAm Cup will take place every year and will serve as a promotion for the most important tournament in the Americas, the PanAM Cup. The next edition of the PanAm Cup is scheduled for October 8-11, in Las Vegas, in the United States. However, on the 29th of June there will be a decision on the realization or postponement of the face-to-face edition, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The e-PanAm Cup Champion country will receive their Champion trophy at the closing ceremony of the PanAm Cup Las Vegas and all athletes will win personalized medals. Sponsor gifts are also being prepared by the tournament organization.
"We hope that the participating countries will be able to develop e-Minifootball in their territories and that more and more fans will get to know our sport and our organization.", concluded Rico.
